Summary of Class on 9/8/11

Quiz was postponed.

Eli came to visit. Students re-wrote their corrected home works. Students wrote simple present tense "observations" noting what the three and a half year old could do developmentally. Students recieved copies of the ASQ 3 (age appropriate) and will combine their observations with this form next week.

5 important sentences about Maria Montessori. Students read their homework in pairs. Then they discussed and had to be ready to present the 2 most important sentences. Then to the whole class 1 sentence/quote was presented (class gathered 9 total):

Maria Montessori believed that all task that children needed to learn could be broken down in to simple steps.

Montessori developed materials with "self-correcting" features.

HOMEWORK:
Study the same Verbs from 9/1/11. There will be a Quiz on 9/17/11. Write 10 sentences in simple past tense describing what Eli did in class. (you can write new sentences or change the sentences you already wrote into past tense.
Example: Eli throws the ball. CHANGE TO: "Last Thursday Eli threw the ball."
