Students took Quiz #2 on common irregular past tense verbs. Students that finished early began to read pages 23 to 25 (about the history of kindergarten).

Students turned in Homework that was due today (past tense sentence re observation subject Eli). Then students used data/observations from last week to fill out the Gross Motor and Fine Motor skills of an age appropriate ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire).

Past homework re Maria Montessori was returned corrected and student copies corrections into their notebooks. Professor led a whole class workshop on writing a paragraph. Students were given the following guidelines:

  • Turn paragraph questions into a statement
  • Indent the first line
  • Stay on subject
  • write at least 4 sentences in you own words
  • Optional (but powerful) choose a good quote and mark those important words with "and." For example: Montessori is now well known for her materials with "self-correcting" features.
