Summary:
Whole Class- Students wrote 5 sentences with simple past tense. Sentence focus was on happy events. Students told to interview one student (that they didn't know well) and be ready to tell the whole class one thing that their partner did or experienced.
Students took a short quiz on previously assigned past tense verbs
Students recieved a sheet of Common Irregular verbs with base form (present tense). Teacher presented one third of the list, including discussions of meaning and basic spelling rules. List included:

bring --- brought

drive --- drove

fall ----- fell

Professor presented first three paragraphs of the text book. Students read individually a second time and chose one powerful/important sentence from each paragraph
Homework:
Study the above words including correct spelling. Quiz on next Thursday. Read pages 18 and 19 about Montessori and find 5 important or powerful sentences. Copy the five sentences you choose. Bring answers to class (do not email).
