Class on 1/30/18

Class will meet in the Learning Center at 7:15. You must sign in to show with your student number to show me you went to class. 

Homework:  
Read Chapter 2 of La Línea. Read 2 times: the first time without stopping. Then read again and underline important parts and circle words you don't know. Stop and look them up in a dictionary. Then write 6 vocabulary words (write definitions in your own words). Email me your vocabulary words. This is due on 2/1/17 by 10:00 PM.

1) afford: Is when a person has opportunity to buy something
Exam: I can afford to buy a new car

2) patch: When you have a hole in your clothes and you cover it with small piece of material.
Exam: My grandma put a patch on the hole of my pants

3) drag: When something is too heavy, pull it along on the ground.
Exam: Ben dragged his sled through the snow

4) herd: Is when a big group of animals are together.
Exam: He took the herd to drink water

5) saints: Someone who is special in Catholic Church.
Exam: I bring flowers to the saints in the church
