Warm up: Tell an action story about the weekend. Try to use First, Second, Next, Then, Last, Suddenly and Finally.
On Saturday we moved a large Afghan rug from one room to another. First we had to clean up all the boxes of junk in our room. These boxes were "waiting" to be put in the attic and those lazy boxes just wouldn't go in there by themselves. Second we had to clean the carpet. It had a lot of dog hair and dust! Then we had to lift the bed and boxsprings up. It was hard to do because our bedroom is basically an attic room so part of the ceiling is very low. Finally we got the bed up agains the wall and dragged the rug out and down the stairs. It took half a day but now the rug is clean and down stairs.
